Depends on the price attached to it though. The fact is the game is old. How much is it worth today? And smart business move would be to allow people who bought the ps3 version upgrade to the newer ps4 version for a reasonable price- $5.99. I’m guessing this game will come out @ 29.99-39.99 price tag. Any higher would be criminal. Just my opinion.

1. financing for next gen projects
2. experience on next gen hardware to better create next gen projects
3. at least half of PS4 owners didn’t own a PS3 which is a huge brand new audience
4. many PS3 exclusive games were critically acclaimed and sold well
5. there are already plenty of new IPs being created

TLOU is practically a new game to at least half (~4.3 million) of PS4 owners that never owned a PS3 and never had a chance to play it. Same with Beyond: Two Souls or any PS3 exclusive game brought to PS4.

TLOU is one of the most critically acclaimed video games ever and sold 6+ million copies on PS3, it’s coming with DLC and multiplayer, 1080p 60 fps with better textures and visual effects, and releasing at a discount price.

Sony are supplying a service people want, they are not creating a need that did not exist just to make money. This article is simply a self centred personal rant that shows a total lack of intolerance for other players and what they want.

The Last Of Us is one of the best games ever made. It deserves to be played long into the future by future generations. Games don’t age well visually as hardware improves. The article is basically telling me that classic films should never be remastered in HD because they already exist on DVD. With that mentality we would still be watching classic movies on VHS video tape. It’s an incredibly small minded simplistic view. The author needs to find another job because he lacks the maturity to be a journalist.

WHAT ARE YOU WRITING? When Tomb Raider came out nobody was complaining. GTA 5 is coming to current gen consoles – and it’s okay. The Last of Us comes to PS4 with ALL DLC and upgraded visuals for 50$ – IT’S “a cynical crash grab”. Okay. DONT BUY, you can’t persuade me not to buy, because I haven’t played it on PS3.
