NBA Live 14 New Details Revealed, BounceTek Explained

EA details its new NBA Live game.

In their arduously long segment focused exclusively on EA Sports, EA also took the time to highlight the improvements included in NBA Live 14, including the new dribbling technology, as well as more realistic ball behavior dubbed ‘BounceTek.’

Executive producer Sean O’Brien came out onstage with Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers to explain that with BounceTek, the basketball is separated from the hand in every dribbling animation. Apparently, this allows for unprecedented creativity in getting around defenders, and makes a legitimate difference in how the game is played.

NBA Live 14 hits stores later this year on Xbox One and PS4. As with all next gen EA Sports games, this too is powered by the EA Ignite engine.

We will have more for you on this, and on E3 news in general, as it happens. Be sure to stick around to catch out full E3 coverage, including reviews for all conferences almost immediately after they happen, and live news, previews, and hands on experiences with all major titles, on the spot.
