World premieres at The Game Awards usually revolve around a single title, but Sega, promising “new era” with “new energy”, has announced five. After many rumors, the publisher confirmed that a new Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi are in development. But that’s not all – Shinobi, Streets of Rage, and Golden Axe are also getting new titles. Check out the trailer below.
Jet Set Radio appears to be a platformer like its predecessors but with a larger world to explore. Streets of Rage is a beat ’em up but in 3D. Shinobi is perhaps the most stunning, with an animated 2D style that appears stop-motion while staying true to its action side-scrolling roots.
Golden Axe is more of a 3D hack-and-slash title with co-op, while Crazy Taxi is, well, Crazy Taxi. Except it seems the police are more active in stopping the player’s insane driving. All five titles are without release dates but will arrive over the next few years. Stay tuned for more details and announcements from The Game Awards.
