We literally just had a pretty major Nintendo Direct yesterday, but it looks like the thirst for more Nintendo news continues. It makes sense on some level- while the Direct yesterday gave us news on a new Smash Bros., there were many games, like Fire Emblem and Pokemon, that were missing in action.
That latter one may soon be getting a dedicated Direct of its own, it turns out. ResetEra user Galava has discovered that Nintendo’s Direct webpage, which keeps an archive for previous broadcasts, now has a brand new empty spot- which usually indicates an upcoming Direct. What is even more interesting is that the previous Pokemon Direct broadcast has been removed from the page, which indicates a new one may be coming.
Pokemon usually gets its own dedicated Direct, and there usually is one every year before E3 to announce, or detail, the new Pokemon games coming that year- so if Pokemon on Switch is indeed due out for this year, it’s not unreasonable to assume that there will be a Pokemon Direct for it, too.
If it gets announced, you can bet we will cover it here on GamingBolt, so stay tuned.
