New Silent Hill Was Supposed to Launch in October 2021 Before Getting Delayed Due to COVID – Rumour

Prominent insider says the recently-leaked Silent Hill project was still in active development half a year ago, and will likely be unveiled soon.

We’ve been dealing with leaks and rumours of a Silent Hill revival for over two years at this point, but lately, they’ve flared up once again. Prominent insider AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem recently uploaded what were allegedly leaked images of new mainline Silent Hill game (and then re-uploaded high-res versions of the images after they were taken down by Konami following a DMCA notice). Since then, the leaker has been providing scant new details on the project, and more specifically, its development.

According to AestheticGamer, the screens that were recently uploaded were from a 2020 build of the Silent Hill game. The project, interestingly enough, was allegedly due out in October 2021 at one point, but had to be delayed due to COVID. The leaker says that based on what he know, the Silent Hill game was still in active development until at least half a year ago, and is unlikely to have been cancelled since then. He also adds that though he is unaware of a specific release date, we’re likely to see the game “sometime soon”.

Of course, we’ve had more than a few Silent Hill-related leaks over the last couple of years, so it’s best to tread with caution here. That said, there’s plenty of Silent Hill rumours going around, so that might be easier said than done. For instance, another insider claims that Silent Hill 2 remake is also in development at Bloober Team.
