Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy was an extremely interesting game when it was released for the Nintendo 3DS back in 2012- it featured a collection of classic tunes across all Final Fantasy games, wrapped together in a neat fusion of rhythm game/RPG mechanics. It was successful enough that Square Enix commissioned a sequel- Curtain Call- that goes bigger and better than the first game in every possible way, and with the release of that game rapidly approaching, Square Enix has decided to share a new gameplay video with us of the game.
This video is the latest in their ‘Legacy of Music’ video series, and it highlights some music from the 16 bit debut of the franchise- Final Fantasy IV, before moving on to the other 16 bit games in the series. Fans of the original games will be hit by wave of nostalgia, as they recognize some iconic tunes.
Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Curtain Call is due out exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS this September.
