Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom’s PC Version Apparently Won’t Use Denuvo

PC players will be happy about this, if this ends up being true.

Denuvo, the highly controversial digital rights management (DRM) solution for PC games, continues to be used in games, even though the extent of its effectiveness remains debatable. However, at least one major upcoming game will be eschewing it entirely.

According to the Steam page for Level-5 and Bandai Namco’s upcoming Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, the game will probably not be using Denuvo. This is inferred through the complete lack of any mention of the solution on the page- where other Bandai Namco games which do use it, such as Tekken 7 and Dragon Ball FighterZ, have their Steam pages mention Denuvo pretty prominently.

Doubtless, PC players will be happy about this turn of events- but of course, with a few months left to the game’s release, there is every possibility that Namco ends up adding Denuvo to the PC version, as well as to its Steam page, in the weeks to come.
