Nintendo NX’s Concept To Be Revealed During May-June, Releasing By The Year’s End – Analyst

Seems to make sense.

The Nintendo NX has largely been a mystery, beyond assumption that we’re going to be getting more information about it sometime this year. Now the industry analyst firm, Nomura Securities believes it has a bit of info about the console and believes the NX will be officially unveiled this June and officially release this fall. The analyst believes there will be a kind of concept announcement in March, April or May. Then the console will actually be shown off on a larger scale in June.

According to Barrons‘ analyst Junko Yamamura, “Nintendo will make NX available by 2016 year-end’s shopping season” with the analyst expecting “Nintendo to announce the “concept” sometime between March and May, unveil the actual console in June, and launch it between October and November.”

“We think the NX will start to boost operating profits in 18/3, when it will have been on the market for a full year and will have a line-up of software titles, which carry high operating margins,” the statement reads.

The real question of course, is whether or not this analyst has any actual information or just guessing and making some rather intelligent predictions. After all, it doesn’t take a genius to assume Nintendo is going to be unveiling the NX right around E3. Having the device ready for sale this coming Holiday shopping season isn’t exactly something new either. We’ll just have to sit back and patiently wait to see if this information is actually true. At the same time we’ll have to see if it really is the “totally” new thing it’s been billed as.
