The Nintendo NX may not have the most information going for it – since Nintendo hasn’t officially revealed what it is – but the company seems focused on providing a new play experience with the platform.

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima spoke to Sankei West (via DualShockers) about the same and talked about providing a “different way to play with a dedicated machine”. Development on the Nintendo NX is progressing steadily and the focus is to offer a new experience, one that will be different from that on the Wii U or 3DS. That being said, Nintendo won’t just jump to the market with the NX, which indicates that it may take a bit more time before it’s actually out.

We do know that more information will be provided on the Nintendo NX later this year but exactly when is still a mystery. What are your thoughts on the NX providing a new way to play? Let us know in the comments.
