Nintendo’s marketing has really turned around from the dismal, dark days of the Wii U. Back then, the bulk of their marketing efforts were basically non-existent, and what was there was so bad that it did a terrible job at selling people on their products. But Switch ads are kinetic, energetic, and instantly communicate the value of the system and its games to anyone who watches.
The newest ad for the system has been put out by Nintendo, and it invites people to come together and play anytime, anywhere—thereby emphasizing the two core strengths the Switch has. The first of those is the local multiplayer the system emphasizes, coming, in fact, with two controllers out of the box, and lending itself to spontaneous multiplayer anywhere you want.
The other, of course, is the system’s signature “play anywhere” ability, thanks to its hybrid nature. It’s good to see Nintendo knowing what works with the Switch in these ads.
You can check out the new ad for yourself below. Maybe it will convince you to not switch over to Huawei’s Mate 20 X, which they claim is “a better gaming portable” than the Switch.
