Nioh Gets New Patch on PC Addressing Graphical Issues

Along with one other issue.

Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo’s superlative Nioh, which brought a unique spin to the Dark Souls style formula when it launched exclusively on the PS4 earlier this year, also recently got a release on PC. The PC port was a surprisingly good one, especially given how poor Tecmo ports for the platform have usually ben- however, there still were some issues.

One of those issues included low resolution textures that would spontaneously appear in some cutscenes. It’s nothing game breaking, but it is jarring, and at the very least it degrades the game’s visual quality. Thankfully, the new patch released for the game fixes this issue- among others. You can check the full patch notes for it below.

Nioh is a fantastic Souls-style action RPG that follows the story of the first samurai of western descent across an embellished take of historical Japan. If you haven’t already, do be sure to look into it now- it’s worth your time.

Nioh Patch 1.21.04 Release Notes:

  •  Fixed an issue where proper textures were not used in certain cutscenes in the missions “Isle of Demons” and “Deep in the Shadows”.
  •  Fixed an issue in which you would accidentally consume shortcut items if you move using the keyboard during black screen.
