No Man’s Sky Creator Receives Death Threats, Explains Last Minute Delay

"Thanks to everyone for being so supportive."

Sean Murray, founder of Hello Games and creator for No Man’s Sky, has probably had a rather bad week. Not only was the game delayed on PS4 and PC but he also began receiving death threats shortly after.

That being said, Murray is pretty chipper about the whole thing. On Twitter, he stated, “I have received loads of death threats this week, but don’t worry, Hello Games now looks like the house from Home Alone #pillowfort”

Murray also apologized to fans and explained that, “Sorry I haven’t been able to say anything til now. With retail games, there are legal/external reasons why you can’t talk freely about dates.”

He also thanks fans for their support. “Thanks to everyone for being so supportive. Apologies to anyone who feels hurt by this. We’ll try make it up to you with a good game.”

No Man’s Sky is currently slated to release on August 9th for PC and PS4. Stay tuned for more details on the same.
