No Man’s Sky Dev Currently Tracking PC Issues

Hello Games working hard to resolve bugs.

As you’re probably aware by now, especially if you bought it, the PC version of No Man’s Sky is having an even less than ideal launch than the PS4 version. Hello Games is working on resolving issues though – a support topic has been pinned on Steam outlining a few fixes.

For instance, as an OpenGL 4.5 title, No Man’s Sky will need the latest graphics drivers on your GPU. VC++ Redist 2010 also hasn’t been provided at launch. A new patch has been issued which includes it and facilitates a restart.

A lot of users are reporting crashes, frame rate troubles, stuttering and so on with the PC release. If that weren’t enough, many feel textures appear muddy and less than amazing. That’s of course in addition to other complaints about the shallow repetitious gameplay.

The PC launch has been mostly successful though. Steam Stats showcase a peak number 212,620 in the past 24 hours. We’ll see how that pans out over the next few weeks as Hello Games resolves issues.
