Developer Kou Shibusawa and publisher Koei Tecmo have announced a new entry in its strategy game franchise Nobunaga’s Ambition. Titled Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening, the new title is slated for release on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on July 20. Check out the announcement trailer below.
It is worth noting that, despite its fresh coat of paint, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening is essentially an updated version of an older title, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Rebirth.
Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening will put players in the shoes of a Japanese Daimyo in 16th century Japan. Players will have to make decisions in various aspects of running their clan, including diplomacy, economics, and military decisions.
The game is also bringing back the franchise’s traditional siege mode in a new form. This time around, sieges will take place on a single map featuring different kinds of terrain and different castles or castle towns.
Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening also hopes to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the series by including landmarks and achievements celebrating the franchise.
