The latest release in the long-running Nobunaga’s Ambition franchise, titled Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening, is out now on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. The game has been released alongside a launch trailer which you can check out below.
Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening puts players into the shoes of a daimyo during 16th century Japan in the midst of its Sengoku era. Players will have to lead their clan to victory through the tumultuous times by not only taking part in epic battles, but also taking care of their civic and political duties.
The game also brings back the franchise-favourite Siege feature, completely remade for modern systems. For the first time in the franchise, siege battles will now take place on a single map, complete with different kinds of castles, castle towns, and terrains.
A large part of the game’s non-battle gameplay revolves around managing castles and appointing officers to “council officials”. Players will have to juggle their various officers in different roles as they rise through the ranks to become better soldiers for battles.
