Nvidia have announced an update for their banner GPUs- the Quadro P6000 was announced today, and it will be far more powerful than even the Titan X. Unlike Nvidia’s GTX or Titan cards, the Quadro isn’t targeted at gaming PCs and the gaming market, as much as it is targeted at workstations, for high fidelity tasks like HD video editing.
That said, you can certainly use this overpowered GPU to get the highest end performance for your gaming PCs, too- the P6000 has 3,840 cores and 24GB of GDDR5X, with 432GBps of memory bandwidth. It also has four DisplayPort 1.4 slots, supporting resolutions of up to 4K at 120Hz and 5K at 60Hz, and internal pipelines to render faster 3D video.
The Quadro P6000 will be available in October. A price for it was not announced, but considering that the Titan X is $1,200, and that this is more powerful than that, you can probably expect it to be priced far beyond that, too.
