Obsidian Interested in Working on Fallout 4 Follow-Up

Fallout: New Vegas dev says most of its staff are "always up for it".

Fallout: New Vegas developer Obsidian Entertainment expressed great interest in returning to the franchise before Bethesda Softworks revealed Fallout 4. That hasn’t changed even after Fallout 4′s release as writer and designer Eric Fenstermaker said the studio was always up for it.

Replying to a fan on Twitter about doing a new Fallout title, possibly “Fallout New Orleans”, Fenstermaker said, “I’m always up for working on a Fallout. I think most of us generally are. [It’s a] really fun property to work with.”

Despite its numerous bugs, Fallout: New Vegas was praised by critics and commercially successful as a whole. It helped bridge the lull between Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Bethesda has announced plans for Fallout 4 expansions but has remained mum on other developers possibly developing follow-ups.

Meanwhile, Obsidian Entertainment is currently busy with the sequel to Pillars of Eternity which should receive an announcement in the coming months.
