The upcoming 3DS remake of Zelda: Ocarina of Time won’t be making the 3DS launch line-up and we’ve been told it won’t see a release until after E3 this year. Yet, despite this, the game is almost completed says Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime. He had this to say:
“We’ve shown off Ocarina Of Time and we’re going to release it when it makes most sense. Kid Icarus is not in the launch window. These games are nearly done and development is largely complete. Fans are not going to have to wait very long for these games to come out. We wanted third parties to really have a dramatic presence in the launch window and we’ve achieved that.”
Whilst a third party presence is certainly a nice ideal for Nintendo to aim for, I think we’re all a little gutted we won’t be seeing any first party titles on the 3DS anytime soon. Patience is a virtue it seems.
