Oculus Rift Latest Version Appearing at CES 2014

Check out what the team at Oculus VR have been working since E3.

Oculus VR made headlines last year for the astronomical amount of funding raised, the employment of former id Software co-founder John Carmack and much more. It’s been promising for quite a while that we’d be seeing the latest version of Oculus Rift, its VR headset for gaming, in 2014 and it appears the company is wasting no time in granting our wishes.

Engineer Tom Forsyth recently tweeted to confirm that the latest Oculus Rift will be at CES 2014, Las Vegas. “We’re showing the latest Rift kit at CES. Should be pretty interesting. I’m looking forward to the feedback.”

Currently, Oculus Rift is capable of showcasing a 1080p resolution and has a 1000 Hz Adjacent Reality Tracker for the lowest latency possible while tracking. Several games such as Team Fortress 2 support Rift, and that number will only increase in the coming months. Are you excited for the device? Let us know in the comments below.
