Owlcat Games’ Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous concluded its Kickstarter campaign in mid-March with over $2 million in funding. For all those who backed the right tier, the alpha test is currently available to try. If you missed out on backing the game, it’s possible to purchase access at $15 on the official website.
The alpha will be available until May 21st and contains the first two chapters of the story. Six of the new classes, two prestige classes, and all of the classes from Pathfinder: Kingmaker are available to try out. Furthermore, players can embark on the journey towards unlocking one of the Mythic Paths while also interacting with ten new companions.
Owlcat Games’ studio head Oleg Shpilchevskiy said, “These are rough times we are living in right now, but we are doing our best to keep up with our development schedule and deliver the game as promised. Now that the alpha version is available to our backers, we are thrilled to receive feedback from our core fans.”
It’s worth noting that content will be missing or replaced in later builds of the game. However, there will be several stretch goal features implemented like mounted combat, the companion Woljif Jefto, and more. Again, these are also still in development and subject to change.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is currently slated to release next year for PC. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
