Owlcat Games rolled out the second beta for its upcoming CRPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, providing access to the first four chapters to Kickstarter backers on Steam. However, it also confirmed release date of September 2nd for the full game on Steam and GOG. The title was initially announced in December 2019 and crossed over $2 million in crowd-funding.
As for the beta, it provides new Crusade gameplay, allowing players to manage their army and battle against the demonic hordes (though it’s still a work in progress). New side quests have also been added along with abilities and archetypes for some classes. Weather systems, mounts and much more along with the final UI have also been implemented.
Finnean, a talking enchanted weapon added through backer goals, has also been added along with dismemberment, improved character models for companions, a romance with Daeran and much more. Voice acting is also availablefor some of the important dialogues in the first three chapters. Of course, since this is a beta, there may be issues with items and abilities not working as described along with animation and graphics bugs.
