PEAK’s First Content Update, MESA, Launches on August 11th

A new desert biome with cacti and dust storms awaits players of the successful co-op climbing game later today on PC via Steam.

After breakout success, where it sold more than five million units in its first month, PEAK is preparing for its first content update. Launching on August 11th, MESA seemingly introduces a new desert biome for players to navigate (and introduces its fair share of terror). Check out the teaser below.

Along with new cacti flora, where items like Bing Bong can get stuck, there’s a dust storm that will pursue climbers. While injury seems a given, it could also introduce unique status conditions. MESA may also add new items and mechanics to provide an advantage. Stay tuned for more details when it goes live later today.

Developed by Landfall and Aggro Crab, PEAK is available exclusively for PC. It sees players stranded on an island and venturing to the tallest peak to escape, which requires crossing multiple dangerous environments. With the ability to climb anywhere (as long as your stamina allows it) and support for up to four players, it’s quickly gained popularity.
