Persona 5 Royal will see its Japanese launch at the end of this month. The game is huge update to the already huge (maybe too huge) Persona 5. It doesn’t just end at the base game, though, as the game has post-release DLC coming as well, and a lot of it will revolve around callbacks to older games in the series.
DLC being a throwback to previous entries in the series is a pretty standard thing for the franchise. With the last Morgana’s Report stream, it was revealed that DLC for Royal will consist of new costumes from Persona 5: Dancing Star Night and Persona Q2. If that’s not enough, apparently you’ll also get to take on the protagonists from Persona 3 and 4 through the game’s new Challenge Battle mode. Persona 5 Royal will release some time in Spring 2020 for PlayStation 4. Right now, the rumor mill is saying that the game could release as early as March 2020.
