Persona 5 Royal Releases In March 2020 According To Leaked Interview – Rumor

A new interview may have given us an idea of when the game's western date is.

If you’re in Japan, you are just a stone’s throw away from the release of Atlus’ Persona 5 Royal. But those of us in the West are kind of stuck with wondering when we’ll get out hands on the RPG for now. While Spring 2020 window has been mentioned, that’s still a pretty wide net to throw. But we may have a better idea now, if a new interview from Game Informer is anything to go by.

Fans over at Persona Central, a fan site for the popular RPG series, have got their hands on a copy of the November 2019 Game Informer issue. In it there’s an English interview with Character Designer Shigenori Soejima. In the interview, the game is mentioned to be releasing in not just 2020, but specifically March 2020. You can see that below.

Whether or not this is legitimate or simply a mistake on the publication’s part remains to be seen, so for that reason we’ll file this one under rumor for now. If the game’s English release is March 2020 however, that makes that month pretty packed, especially for RPGs. We’ll keep you updated.
