Persona 5 Scramble’s Newest Video Shows Off Gameplay For The Action RPG

It’s honestly surprising how full-fledged this release looks to be.

In the west, all our attention may be focused squarely on Persona 5 Royal at the moment, but Japan is already looking ahead to the next Persona-themed release—Persona 5 Scramble, the action RPG sequel to Persona 5 that launches on PS4 and Switch early next year (there, at least, a release date hasn’t actually been announced for the west yet).

As is the case for all Persona releases, Atlus has been marketing it by releasing one trailer focused on one new character at a time. We’ve already seen a trailer focusing on Ann, for example. However, they also held a recent livestream showing off some gameplay for the game, which was captured by YouTuber Tim Barry. The footage shows off the calendar system and the slice of life gameplay that has traditionally been the domain of the mainline games in the series only.

I am honestly surprised at how full-fledged this release looks to be, given how lacking the other Persona spin-offs can often be. I sincerely hope Atlus localizes it outside of Japan too. For now, all we know is that it launches in Japan on February 20.
