Persona 5 The Animation Begins Airing on April 7 in Japan

Plus, brand new Makoto Niijima key art shared as well.

Like Persona 3 and Persona 4 before it, Persona 5 will also be getting an anime adaptation. The adaptation was announced last year for a Spring 2018 airing date; now, we know exactly when to expect it. Atlus has announced that Persona 5 The Animation will begin airing on April 7 in Japan.

As of right now, we don’t know if that date holds true for the west as well. We do know the anime is westbound (though the extent of the localization treatment it will be getting is unknown- will it just be getting subtitles, or will the game’s cast return for dubs, too?). Presumably, CrunchyRoll (most likely) will be picking the anime up.

That’s not all the Persona 5 news we got today, either- knowing a good thing when they have it, Atlus shared a brand new piece of promotional art, featured on Makoto Niijima, who’s literally the best character in Persona 5, and is also everyone’s favorite. You can check it out for yourself below.

Persona 5 is available on PS3 and PS4.
