Phantom Blade Zero is Targeting 2K/60 FPS and 4K/30 FPS Modes on PS5

However, the developer says it's still "actively seeking ways to achieve 4K at 60 FPS on PS5."

Sony’s PlayStation Showcase in May was a fairly underwhelming one, especially compared to past years’ showcases, but even so, it did have a handful of highlights that stood out. One of those was Phantom Blade Zero, an action RPG developed by Chinese studio S-Game, which turned more than a few heads with its promising debut.

In a recent interview with Wccftech, S-Game founder and CEO Soulframe Liang provided more details on the game- specifically, what to expect from the PS5 version where its graphics options are concerned. Liang says S-Game is currently hoping to have two graphics modes in Phantom Blade Zero at launch, targeting 2K/60 FPS and 4K/30 FPS. That, however, isn’t set in stone, because the developer is still trying to get the game running at 4K/60 FPS, which might still possibly be on the cards.

“If everything goes as planned, we intend to offer two modes: 2K at 60 FPS and 4K at 30 FPS,” Liang said. “However, I agree that this is still a compromise. Our team is actively seeking ways to achieve 4K at 60 FPS on PS5, or at least a stable 45-50 FPS, to provide players with the best possible gaming experience.”

Phantom Blade Zero is in development for PS5 and PC. It doesn’t yet have a release date.
