Kinetic Games has revealed its roadmap for co-op horror game Phasmophobia for 2022 and going into 2023. As part of the roadmap, Phasmophobia will be getting custom difficulty options in an update set for later this month.
Other features coming in September include the Sunny Meadows map, and a new report system, alongside a few unrevealed features. Future upgrades will include an update to the weather system, volumetric lighting, optimisation.
In 2023, Kinetic Games is hoping to bring a new leveling system, new player models, customisation options, new equipment, equipment upgrades, new challenges, new locations, and something dubbed “Horror 2.0”.
While not too many details about Horror 2.0 have been revealed, the studio has stated that it will involve replacing all of the game’s ghost models, and the addition of new effects, events, sounds, and interactions.
According to the studio, updating the leveling system will mark the biggest programming and art overhaul for Phasmophobia, with systems, models, and animations getting complete reworks or getting created from scratch.
