Uber Entertainment’s Planetary Annihilation, the crowdfunded real time strategy game meant to act as a spiritual successor to Total Annihilation, will be getting a single player mode in a free update, the company announced today. The mode is called Galactic War, and it limits the tech tree that you have access to at the beginning, while also randomly generating the map, items, perks, and more, which sounds a little frustrating, but should also ensure at the same time that each playthrough is different.
In addition, maybe to celebrate this, Planetary Annihilation, which is currently in Steam Early Access, will also be sold at a cheaper sale price until May 25- it is currently £17.99, which is almost half its regular £29.99 asking price.
Planetary Annihilation is available on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux based PCs, and its final build is slated for release sometime later this year (though we haven’t had an update on its final release date in a while now).
