Bluehole Studio has released a new update for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and while it’s not the biggest, it does fix some nagging hit registration issues. The game’s Twitter noted that the patch helps with long range shots not “registering intermittently”. Those experiencing client crashes in the lobby should also see their issues resolved with this patch.
Despite being in the 1.0 stage and leaving Steam Early Access, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has still had its fair share of issues. Bluehole has been reacting accordingly though, pushing out patches during the holiday season to combat rubberbanding and other complaints. Even the Xbox One version has seen improvements since launching in Game Preview.
All said and done, both versions have racked up over 30 million players in total so there’s still love for Battle Royale. The developer will continue to identify and fix any issues it encounters as time goes by. As for new content and other interesting additions, we’ll have to wait for more details in the coming months.
