Sony’s PlayStation 5 is more than year old at this point, and though the console has its fair share of supply shortages, which has resulted in headaches for potential buyers, the console has been a massive success for Sony, managing to ship more than 17.2 million units worldwide. However, some caveats concerning the system performance and stability are still there, which are a standard affair for any new console.
Fortunately, Sony’s been swift in ironing out the issues and has now released another new update for the console. The PlayStation 5’s 21.02-04.51.00 firmware update is a fairly small download, sizing in at 900mb, and addresses system’s stability and performance. Apart from this, not much is tackled through the update.
The patch notes for the firmware update are next to nothing, and can be read below. Sony, however, is planning for a new firmware update numbered 3.0-05.00.00, which is currently in beta and aims to add more new features.
