It seemed obvious enough but Sony has officially confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will support its game streaming service PlayStation Now. Yasuhiro Osaki of SIE’s Network division revealed the same in the latest weekly Famitsu. Osaki did note that there aren’t plans to bring the service to smartphones.
However, there will be more popular titles added to PlayStation Now each month going forward. The number of time-limited titles will increase, though. The current selection of time-limited titles includes God of War, Grand Theft Auto 5, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and inFamous: Second Son. These games are available until January 2nd 2020 so if future titles follow the same trend, there should be enough time to experience everything.
With over 700 titles and a recent price cut dropping it to $9.99 per month, PlayStation Now definitely looks like a better deal. We’ll see how well it fits into Sony’s marketing plan for the PlayStation 5. The next-gen console is slated to release in Holiday 2020 with reveal event rumored for February 2020.
