Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale has seen several highs and lows, and this even before the game has seen release. Superbot Entertainment’s crossover is one of the more hotly anticipated titles for the platform, because so many people are curious to see how it matches up to Super Smash Bros.
However, Sony’s plans for the game march on. Seth Killian tweeted a fan-made box art image for the game, but along with image link, he stated,
“Beautiful fan-created PlayStation All-Stars box art. Maybe for the Criterion Collection edition”
The words “Collector’s Edition” should alone be enough to indicate that Sony has some plans for a larger-than-life version of the game. And why not? There’s so much history, memorabilia, information and background on the different franchises involved in the game that you could easily fill a couple of disks with.
Of course, the “Criterion” part is still a little odd. While this isn’t official confirmation, it’s certainly a hint towards plans in motion. PS All Stars Battle Royale is currently due to release on November 20th for North America and 23rd for UK.
