The list of exhibitors for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2024, set for September 26th to 29th, has been officially revealed. Many companies in the General Exhibition Area will look familiar, from Bandai Namco Entertainment and Capcom to Nexon, SNK and Square Enix. However, it also includes Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The publisher last held a general exhibit at the show in 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted trade expos and events worldwide from 2020 onwards, but last year marked the return of the Tokyo Game Show as a full physical exhibition. The question is why Sony decided to have a general exhibit this year. Perhaps it will tease some of its upcoming releases for 2025, like Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
Time will tell, so stay tuned for more details. Tokyo Game Show 2024 will host 731 exhibitors. There will be 3,190 exhibition booths, a higher count than last year, with the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association promising the “largest-ever scale” for the event.
