Sony has started 2022 firing on all cylinders, with Horizon Forbidden West having gotten the PS5 off to an excellent start where exclusives are concerned. Meanwhile, with the likes of Gran Turismo 7, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Forspoken all also launching in the near future, there’s plenty else to look forward to on that front as well. If you’re wondering what lies in store beyond that though- well, it seems we might get some news on that soon.
XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker recently took to Twitter and stated that a PlayStation show is currently scheduled for March, and that it’s supposed to be a “good one”. While there hasn’t been any indication in official terms that we might be getting a PlayStation showcase soon, it would make sense for Sony to begin marketing games coming further down the line in 2022 once the current crop of releases is out of the way.
The likes of God of War Ragnarok and Final Fantasy 16 are due out for the PS5 (and the former for the PS4 as well), while reports of The Last of Us’ rumoured remake and standalone multiplayer game in the series have also been doing the rounds, and fans will be hoping to hear more about at least some of these games in the near future.
Whether or not this ends up happening remains to be seen, but as is the case with all rumours, it’s best to take this with a grain of salt for now, especially since plans can always change. We’ll keep an eye out for more details though, so stay tuned.
