PlayStation Third Party Relations Boss Leaves Sony

Hunziker leaves company about a year after coming on board.

Just about a year after he was hired, Florian Hunziker, the head of third party relations for PlayStation, has left the company, Sony has confirmed in a statement to VentureBeat. Hunziker himself had replaced Adam Boyes after his departure a year or so ago, and his own departure coincides with the departure of PlayStation boss Andrew House as well.

While third party relations are handled by an entire team and more than just person – meaning that this is unlikely to jeopardize PlayStation’s third party support, which has been the best of all consoles this generation – it is likely going to add some turbulence internally at Sony given the general context of him leaving the company.

Regardless, hopefully Hunziker finds success in whatever it is he chooses to do next, and hopefully Sony finds a good replacement for him, so they can continue their industry leading third party relations as well.
