Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee Officially Announced, Releasing November 16

They look gorgeous.

It’s been rumored for so long, but now, we finally have an official announcement- Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu and Let’s GO Eevee are coming to the Nintendo Switch this year. The games are developed by Game Freak, are remakes of Pokemon Yellow, and imbibe a lot of Pokemon GO, the hit mobile game, into them- this includes a similar catching system, a removal of wild Pokemon battles, and integration with the games, including transferring Pokemon back and forth between the games.

The games also add co-op (and retain PvP and PvE trainer battles), and actually look really really pretty. They have an online hub, and a Pokeball accessory, and are limited only to the original 151 Pokemon- nothing beyond Kanto.

You can check out the trailer for the games below- they are due out on November 16, 2018 this year, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. A separate Pokemon game, Pokemon Quest, a free to play Minecraft style game, was also announced for Switch and mobile platforms. It, too, will be coming this year.
