Pokemon Sun/Moon Continue Domination Of Japanese Sales Charts, While PS4 Pro Sales Slide Further

Xbox One S also caused a (small) bump in Xbox One sales.

Looks like Japan really does not like the PS4 Pro much at all. After a stellar launch week, sales of the PS4 Pro declined drastically last week, and the slide continues this week, with only 8,200 units sold this week- less than a fifth of total PS4 sales.

On the other hand, Pokemon Sun/Moon continue their utter domination of the Japanese sales charts (as with all other sales charts worldwide, actually)- they sold 375,600 units this last week, bringing the total to 1.9 million sold in Japan at retail. Their strong performance continues to buoy 3DS sales, which are now at 71,300 sold this week- far beyond any other system.

The Xbox One S launched in Japan last week, and sure enough, Xbox One sales saw a bump in the region as a result- they went from 186 units sold to 778- watch out Japan, because Xbox has come to take the crown.

Hopefully, Pokemon and the 3DS can continue this kind of performance, as they are the only bright spots in an otherwise dismal Japanese sales chart. Meanwhile, with the launch of Yakuza 6 and Final Fantasy 15, hopefully the PS4 can continue its strong showing too.
