Pokemon Sword and Shield in Line for Mysterious 24-Hour Livestream Next Week

This better be good.

The Pokemon Company and Nintendo’s marketing for the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield has been curious (in a good way, for the most part). Recently, for instance, they teased the reveal of new Pokemon, who turned out to be Sirfetch’d, an awesome-looking evolution of the Gen 1 Pokemon Farfetch’d.

Now, once again, they’re teasing something new- although not quite the same as another Pokemon reveal. On October 4, The Pokemon Company will be broadcasting a livestream that will show “live” footage from Glimwood Tangle, a mysterious forest within the Galar region, where Pokemon Sword and Shield are set. The livestream will go on for a staggering 24 hours, though what exactly it will reveal is anyone’s best guess. The most obvious answer would be that a lot of Pokemon will be shown in the “live” camera feed from the forest throughout the course of the day- maybe even a legendary or two?

We’ll find out soon enough. You can find the livestream video embedded below. Pokemon Sword and Shield are out exclusively for the Switch on November 15.
