Pokemon Sword and Shield Will Let Players Name The Strongest Steel Type Move In The Game

I assume this will be the trademark move for the Legendary Pokemon for both games.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are due out later this year, and while there is very little we know about the upcoming eighth entry in the popular series, there is one thing we do know—and that is that you could be the person who names the strongest Steel type move in the game. Well, assuming you live in Japan.

In the leaked May issue of the CoroCoro magazine (which we’re obviously not linking to, since that would be piracy, but we got this information via ryokutya2089), Nintendo and Game Freak have announced a contest for Japanese readers to name the strongest Steel type move in the game. The move is a Special Attack, with 140 power, that also consumes half the user’s health. The winner will get a free copy of both Pokemon Sword and Shield, with 20 of the runners-up getting a copy of either Sword or Shield. Hopefully this is a contest Nintendo also announces for the rest of the world.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are due out later this year for Nintendo Switch.
