Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket Reportedly Earned $12.1 Million in Revenue in First 4 Days

The recently released app is reportedly earning $3 million in revenue every day, which is thrice as much as even the uber-successful Pokemon GO.

The Pokemon franchise has enjoyed plenty of success on mobile devices over the course of the last decade or so, to say the very least, and though Pokemon GO has been primarily responsible for that, The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have released several additional Pokemon games and apps for mobile in the years since then, generally enjoying varying degrees of success. Now, the latest Pokemon offering on mobile platforms also seems to have got off to quite an impressive start.

The Pokemon Company recently announced that Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket had surpassed 10 million downloads within just 48 hours of its launch last week. Now, Mobilegamer.biz has reported that, as per Appmagic estimates, Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket has earned $12.1 million in revenue within its first four days. That means the app has averaged revenues of $3 million per day, which is three times higher than Pokemon GO’s daily revenues of $1 million.

As per the report, Japan accounts for 45 percent of the game’s earnings, with the US following behind with a 25 percent share, and Hong Kong and Taiwan next in line at 4 percent each. Where platforms are concerned, iOS seems to be the dominant one by far, with $10.5 million of the $12.1 million in earnings so far having come from iOS devices.

How long the app is able to maintain this early momentum remains to be seen, but it’s safe to say that Nintendo and The Pokemon Company will be ecstatic with how it has started either way.
