Prey Renders At 1440p On Xbox One X

Space age technology for a space horror game.

If you needed just a little more incentive to jump back into Bethesda’s 2017 space horror title Prey, the Xbox One X update has finally hit the game alongside the new content, and while it’s not quite a 4K bump, it still is, as usual, running laps around PS4 Pro.

According to Youtube Channel VGTech, who has taken another look at the title with the update and compared it to the standard Xbox One systems, the game has not only gone from 900p to 1440p, but also been given new effects like Screen Space Reflections, better texture filtering and increased draw distance to its lights.

When compared it against the most direct competition with the PS4 Pro, Sony’s machine didn’t fair nearly as well, with the PS4 Pro game still running at the same 1080P as the base PS4, but with some improved visual effects. Are you going to pick the game back up to try the DLC and content updates they announced at E3? Let us know in the comments.
