No early review, then no pre-order or day one buy from me.
And I’m an older gamer, I can buy games new anytime I want (more disposable income).
Bethesda has one of the worst track records of any developer or publisher when it comes to buggy games. The only company I’d jump in blind is Rockstar. They earned the trust.
Everyone else, you lose the early sale with me with late reviews.

We are now past the age of hardware restrictions keeping a game from being worthy of our hard earned dollars. It is now just a question of the game itself being worthy. For times like these when a review is necessary for a purchase, but there are no review copies being sent out, there is always a local Redbox kiosk nearby. And then if you finish the game in 2-3 days, or over a long weekend for just the low rental cost of 9 bucks, that’s even better. If you don’t finish it, at least you’ll have sufficient play time to get an idea of whether you like the gameplay or not. It’s just not a better option for Bethesda. Oh well. Thats just how is today. No one that I know likes these huge day one patches either.
