PS Move Useful for Project Morpheus, Not “A Lot of Appetite for Another Motion Game”

SCE's Shuhei Yoshida notes that PS Move "was a bit ahead of its time".

Sony hasn’t had the best success with its motion gaming experience. PS Move games are in short supply and there isn’t much enthusiasm from developers on the same. President of Worldwide Studios for SCE Shuhei Yoshida spoke to Pocket-lint about the same and noted that even market demand was low.

“Motion gaming was a big thing, but, like with social games, dance games, music or guitar games, I don’t think there’s a lot of appetite for another motion game at this moment.”

However, Yoshida noted that PS Move “was a bit ahead of its time. So now we are realizing that, when we do Project Morpheus, the one thing you want to do immediately is interact with an object in virtual space, and the one way to do that is that you need a 3D positioning input device, like PS Move.”

There’s no release date or pricing announced for Project Morpheus. What are your thoughts on Morpheus being used with PS Move? Let us know below.
