Speaking to NowGamer, Blizzard production director John Hight recently spoke about the PlayStation 4’s architecture and how it means “we can actually get our games into the hands of our players a lot faster.
“We have a lot skill ability in the PC version of [Diablo 3] and with the processing power of the GPU on PS4 we’re pretty confident we can get very high-res graphics and a super rock-solid frame rate.”
Lead console designer Josh Mosqueira is also quite hyped about the new Share button, which he feels “has the potential to really fundamentally change the way players interact not just with the game but with one another and there’s always been a barrier to bring that same kind of experience to the console.
“But the fact that it’s now on your controller, a button press away is such a great thing to bring to players.” He does state that despite the excitement about it, that “it’s not until we see it in action and more importantly see players engage with it and see what they do with it then that is when we are going to see the true promise of the Share button come to life.”
