We had learnt some time ago that Days Gone’s release was delayed to 2019, so there are still a lot of details about the game that we don’t know yet. However, GameInformer recently posted video in which they asked the developers of Days Gone many questions about it and some of the answers provide some valuable insights into different aspects of the game.
First of all, we learn that the infected creatures in the game are called ‘freakers’ and not zombies. During the player’s journey through the game, they will be able to choose their allegiances with different groups to some extent. Players can only play as Deacon and his appearance or outfit cannot be customized. As noted earlier, the “Golden Path” story completion will take about 30 hours in total, but players can continue playing the game even after the end of the story.
On the technical side of things, we learn that the game will support checkerboard 4K resolution at 30 fps on the PS4 Pro. Unfortunately, not much about the game will be showcased at this year’s E3, so we’ll have to wait a while for more details. Days Gone is set to release exclusively for the PS4 in 2019.
