PS4 Firmware Update 2.57 Coming Soon, Improves Stability of “Some Features”

Another update is on the way for PS4 users.

Have you recovered from Sony’s last update for the PlayStation 4? If not, then be warned – another one in the form of firmware update 2.57 is on the way.

According to the official PlayStation Twitter, “PS4 system software update 2.57 coming soon, it’s a minor update that improves stability of some features.”

It doesn’t seem to be that much different from previous small updates for the PS4 which would seemingly improve stability and nothing else. But hey, it’s on the way so don’t be surprised when it pops up on your update screen.

Some users reported issues with software update 2.55 when it released on July 1st. This was also an update to improve stability but resulted in disc read errors that required a restart of one’s console. It’s uncertain whether firmware update 2.57 is meant to fix that so stay tuned for more details.
