Sony’s firmware update 3.00 for the PlayStation 4 is starting to go live across all regions worldwide. It’s currently available in the United States and Europe, and weighs in at 250 MB. The update will download automatically so simply turn on your PS4 and you should see it pop up.
The update includes a number of a changes to the PS4’s interface including 10 GB of online save storage for PlayStation Plus users, live-streaming directly to YouTube, saving screenshots as uncompressed PNGs rather than JPEGs, Event Hubs to keep track of the latest events in the games you play the most and much more. There are also improvements and additions to messaging such as the ability to use stickers from popular games like LittleBigPlanet and RESOGUN in messages.
