PS4 May Be In Low Supply in Europe

"I think it’s going to be kind of hand to mouth in terms of that market.”

Remember the good old days, when consoles used to be out of stock, and you had to mark the days to when your local store would get the next shipment, and be there as soon as they did, so you could get yours before they all sold out again? It happened with the PlayStation 2. It happened with the Wii. And now, it seems to be happening again with the PlayStation 4, at least in Europe, where Sony says supply is constrained, with demand far outstripping it.

“If I look at Europe I think it is potentially, for the second year running, going to be quite inventory challenged,” said Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House to Reuters. “I’m not going to say you won’t be able to find a PlayStation 4. I think it’s going to be kind of hand to mouth in terms of that market.”

One year on, and this console is still selling like there is no tomorrow. Good going, Sony. Good going.
