Sony’s PlayStation 4 is going strong, both from a financial standpoint and the amount of great games that are coming out, from the multiple third party games that come out week to week, to the big tentpole exclusives like Days Gone and God of War. Today, we got a new minor firmware update for the system, and it’s time for more stability.
The latest update, 6.72, is live now across all versions of the system. It only adds about 440 MB for the regular update file and 995 MB for the recovery PS4 firmware update. The only notes given were that it adds more “stability” to the system.
Usually these small incremental updates serve as precursors to major updates, along with betas of said new major updates. As of now, we haven’t heard anything about the next big update, but this is probably a good sign that something bigger is in the works. If you also want to maximize how long your system will last in the meantime, take up some of our tips through here.
